Earlier this week we spoke to Holly Myers, who is manager and player for the Askaris Predators. She gave us a little more background of the Askaris Predators …
“Predator 7s was formed back in 2011, as a social team, by two Dubai expats with a passion for rugby. Fast forward to 2014 and the Predators have gone from strength to strength.
We now have a large pool of players to select from, which also boasts, internationals from England, Wales, Netherlands, and New Zealand, that now compete for the Predators in Dubai and on the UK 7s circuit.
This year, the Predators will be playing under the name of ‘Askaris Predators’, competing in the International Open Women’s competition, a tournament in which we have previously come runners-up in the cup for the past two years. This year, we are aiming high, and are confident that we will clinch the title this year.
As manager, and on behalf of the rest of Predator 7s, we would like to say a big thank you to OES, Askaris and Bespoke Wellness for the sponsorship and support which has enabled us to compete in the Dubai Rugby 7s 2014. Our competition runs from Thursday 4th December to Saturday 6th December so please get down and support us!”
The OES team will be there in full support and we wish the girls all the very best.
