Today we remember the 167 lives lost on 6th July 1988 in the world’s worst offshore oil and gas disaster on the Piper Alpha platform off the coast of Aberdeen.
There will be a remembrance service held at the Memorial Gardens at Hazlehead Park at 10am today. The service will also be recorded and uploaded on the Pound For Piper Facebook page.
