The main areas of the PMS (Preventative Maintenance System) audit can be undertaken and a brief review of the system will draw on comparisons within the industry.
In summary, the maintenance assessment would:
- Establish and review critical maintenance
- Stock levels
- Tracking
- Spares inventory
- Ordering system.
The spare minimum and maximum stock levels will be assessed and a review of the overdue maintenance and reasons to provide guidance on development and implementation.
OES auditors will review safety case of maintenance related items and determine how any outstanding maintenance items are tracked to completion.
Other reviews conducted will be on equipment history and maintenance tracking assessment, Change Implementation to reflect specific rig equipment, new equipment, and new procedures and Management of Change (MOU) culture.
